Delete your account

Applies to the Corvus Lingua mobile application and website.

There are two ways to delete your Corvus Lingua account. Both lead to the exact same outcome: your account is deactivated immediately, held for 14 days in case you change your mind, and then permanently erased.

Method 1 — from inside the mobile app

This is the fastest method if you have the Corvus Lingua app installed on your Android device:

  1. Open Corvus Lingua and tap the Profile tab in the navigation.
  2. Select Edit personal information.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm twice. The second confirmation schedules the deletion.
  4. You will be signed out immediately. Your account is now locked and the 14-day recovery window begins.

Method 2 — if you no longer have the app installed

If you have uninstalled the app or lost access to your device, you can request account deletion by emailing corvuslingua@gmail.com from the email address registered to your account.

I understand that my account will enter a 14-day hold period before permanent erasure. Compose deletion email

What is permanently deleted

  • Your account credentials and authentication identifiers.
  • Your email address, display name, and phone number (if previously provided).
  • Your complete learning history: articles opened, reading sessions, grammar analysis notes, saved vocabulary, and review schedules.
  • Your settings: chosen study programme, academic field, and support language.
  • The link between your account and your subscription entitlement records.

What is kept, and why

  • Generated study material: reading and grammar breakdowns are cached against the open-access article, not against any user account. They contain no personal data and cannot be traced back to you, so they remain available for other learners studying that paper.
  • Statutory transaction records: minimal records may be retained by us or the relevant app store where required by accounting, tax or other applicable obligations, only for the applicable purpose and period.
  • Minimal free-access abuse prevention: a pseudonymous identity fingerprint and limited free-access dates may be retained for 12 months after deletion, not your reading history or answers. See the retention policy.

The 14-day grace window

Changed your mind? Within 14 days of scheduling deletion, your account can still be restored. Send an email to corvuslingua@gmail.com from your registered address requesting restoration. After the 14 days elapse, the erasure is permanent and unrecoverable.

Taking a break is different from deleting

Choose Freeze account in the app for 7, 30 or 90 days to keep your learning history and unused paid time. When the break ends, your account and paid-time timer resume automatically, and we send an email notification. You can choose Resume account to return early. There is no limit on how often you freeze. Permanent deletion is different: it removes your progress and preserved account-linked time and cannot be undone after completion.

Manage store renewal separately

Neither freezing nor deleting your account stops store billing. To avoid further charges, manage auto-renewal in Google Play or the App Store. We offer no additional voluntary change-of-mind refunds. Mandatory consumer rights and store refund decisions are unaffected. See subscriptions and refunds.
